Amber Rose, Wiz Khalifa Welcome Baby Boy

There's a new member of hip hop royalty!

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa welcomed their first child, Sebastian Taylor, in Los Angeles on February 21, 2013, the couple confirmed via Twitter.
"Happy Birthday!!!" wrote Khalifa, 25. “Everyone welcome this perfect young man into the world.”

The rapper gave fans a hint at the good news on Tuesday when he posted a photo of a fetal heart monitor to Instagram with the caption "coming soon." The couple had picked out the name for their baby boy in January, telling L.A. radio station Power106 at the time, "It's a total boss name for a boy."
Added Rose, 29, "It's funny because I came up with the name for our boy and immediately he came up with a rapper [nickname] for him."

This post is to educate everyone on pulmonary embolism which is believed to be the cause of Goldie’s death and how to avoid it.A Pulmonary Embolism (PE) is a blood clot in the lung. The clot usually forms in smaller vessels in the leg, pelvis, arms, or heart, but occasionally the clot can be large. If the pulmonary embolism is large, it may be capable of such a large mismatch, the patient cannot get enough oxygen into the blood and can be become acutely short of breath which may lead to death.CAUSESSeveral risk factors can make a person more likely to develop a blood clot that can eventually break loose and travel to the lung which includes1) Immobilization (which reduces flow),2) Damaged vessel wall (which forms a location for clot to start)3) Hypercoagulable state (which makes it easier for blood to clot)4) Trauma and Injury to leg or arm5) Heart disease6) Burns7) Previous history of blood clot in the legs (Deep Vein Thrombosis) or pulmonary embolism.8) Cancer.9) Pregnancy, estrogen therapy and oral contraceptives.10) Certain protein and enzyme deficiencies.SYMPTOMSNot all pulmonary embolism exhibit the same symptoms but the common ones are; Chest pain,shortness of breath,anxiety,cough,sweating and passing outTREATMENTSome people with pulmonary embolism are critically ill. They have severe shortness of breath, low blood pressure, and low oxygen concentrations.Patients with chest pain will be placed on a heart monitor, and usually an IV will be inserted, labs drawn and an electrocardiogram (EKG, ECG) ordered.The most frequently used treatment for pulmonary embolism include;1) Oxygen.2) Blood thinning medications (Anti-coagulants like Heparin,warfarin and enoxaparin)3) “Clot buster” medications (also called thrombolytics) are given to those who are critically ill.4) In some life-threatening cases, the patient is taken to a radiologic surgery by an interventional radiologistPREVENTIONA frequent cause of pulmonary embolism is a long car or    airplane trips when the blood pools in the legs and forms a blood clot that then breaks loose and travels to the lung.Stop at least every 2 hours on a car trip and stretch the legs and walk.On long airplane flights, get up and walk the aisle at least once an hour to prevent blood clot formation.After surgery, compression units are placed on the legs that function like the leg muscles, to help clot formation. KNUST Fashion Week

KNUST Fashion Week kicks off its exhibition tomorrow, and the exciting catwalk shows kick off on Friday. FashionGHANA.com is more than excited to be a part of this. If you are uncertain why, then you have not been clued on to the extraordinary street fashion by the day to day Kumasi fashionistas.
Despite the very trendy city, the fashion industry is only just yet growing, and designers and creatives of Kumasi, one of Ghana’s largest cities, will be coming out in numbers to see what designers have to offer.
We will be there, and we will be shopping prior to the main fashion shows on the 15th and 16th. The exhibition is expected to witness the sales of many fashion items and also two days fashion and entrepreneurship seminar for students and designers which will be climaxed with the fashion shows with 18 designers. A few will be Xube Couture
Imo by Dexter (Nigeria), 101 clothing, Tito Style, Delvin Fashion, Nok Culture, Denkyi African Soles, B Flex and more.
The one week celebration this year is slated for the 13th -16th of February 2013 and will be held all over various locations within the KNUST campus.
As KNUST is in it’s prime, the organizers decided to stick to their goal of promoting Kumasi based talent, hoping to encourage Ghanaians and people from around the world to witness what the city has to offer. Although, Joycelyn Odoom, Director of the Mislyn brand and winner of project walk way, will be exhibiting from Accra as a designer of honour.
